Banjo Man Stan”s STRING BASS BANJO. This is a demonstration the GARRISON STRING BASS BANJO. Inspired by photos of old time banjo bands, I worked many months developing a reliable significant instrument. Several years ago I asked Charles Olgilvy (the OME Banjo guy) his opinion of the sound compared to a new German bass viol a fellow had at a FIGA convention. Charley said “there’s no difference”. There is a difference- the string bass banjo is much easier to carry around!
