The incomparable King of Tone, Robin Trower, who after all these years seemingly has lost not a bit of his edge, if anything is deeper in the groove than ever. Bridge Of Sighs is a masterpiece of understated, languid, slow and slippery chill, synced to the beat of your heart even as it’s curdling your brain cells. Love how he just rides the tone of his Strat like a surfer rides an ever-changing wave, moving, reacting, keeping it all in balance and determined to reach his shore. A brilliant and under-rated player in my book.
