Matt-Warnock-Koentopp-GuitarCanadian guitarist and pedagogue Dr. Matthew Warnock has been awarded degrees from McGill University (Montreal) and Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo), culminating in a DMA in jazz performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He served as a teaching assistant at both WMU (MM) and UIUC (DMA), and has held faculty positions at Western Illinois University and the Interlochen Arts Camp.

Matt’s many online guitar resources include his seminal work, Play Better Jazz Guitar in 30 Days. It consists of 30 stand-alone lessons with text, notation/tab, and video support. The scope of this series is wide and deep, and any guitarist aspiring to give their jazz chops a major boost would do well to work through these lessons. Available as an e-book, Matt has also published the essentials of this work for free on his website, MattWarnockGuitar.com. Below are direct links to this material (will open in new windows).
