Introducing Q Street Bungalow

Via a phenomenally circuitous chain of events, wifey and I now find ourselves venturing into the Airbnb business. A few months ago we bought a lovely old bungalow in “Limestone Country” — Bedford, Indiana — originally with the intention of living there. But God had other plans, and now we’re opening the space up to short-term rentals.

So welcome to Bedford in picturesque Lawrence County in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana, home to treasures found nowhere else!

Q Street Bungalow is a one story, handicapped-accessible home with a permanent ramp to accommodate challenged individuals.

There are many local attractions for our guests to enjoy. It’s only 45 min. to French Lick/West Baden Resorts/Big Splash Island; 40 min. to Paoli Peaks; 30 min. to Indiana University; 20 min. to Lake Monroe; 10 min. to Spring Mill State Park, and 10 min. to Blue Springs Caverns. Indiana’s Brown County State Park, by far the state’s largest, is an easy drive, as well.

Q Street Bungalow makes a great place for a
getaway, reunion, vacation, or bridal party.

About Q Street Bungalow

Q Street Bungalow is an outstanding example of traditional old-school residential architecture, built in 1901 with numerous renovations over its long life on the corner of Q and 7½ Street. The foundation and basement is constructed of hand-hewn native Bedford limestone blocks, many of which as large as 24-36″ long and 18-20″ thick.

The old part of the house boasts 10′ recessed “tray” ceilings, with several stained glass chandeliers shedding an inviting light in the primary living areas.

Expanded, renovated and lovingly maintained over the years, Q Street Bungalow is a welcoming and comfortable respite from an increasingly noisy and chaotic world.
